Information system for management of regional projects to be worked out in Moldova

Chisinau, 18 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry (MADRM) will develop an information system for the management of regional development projects.

„The need to change the record of regional development projects consists in the experience of over ten years of implementing the regional development policy in Moldova’s settlements. Presently, the record of projects, including their history and the phases of implementation, is stocked in more tabular files in Excel format, with no possibility of generating reports according to requests by information beneficiaries,’’ competent minister Ion Perju said.

Through this project, MADRM is set to develop a centralized database for projects financed both from the National Regional Development Fund and from sources of the development partners. The new concept is to provide a system of data supply and to facilitate the process of reporting on the implementation of investment projects.

The new information system will be created with the financial support of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), within the project, Modernization of Local Public Services in Moldova.
