Chisinau, 9 August /MOLDPRES/- In the first months of activity, your task is to be half a minister, half a prosecutor. I am interested in the citizens to know from you what are the schemes by which amounts from your ministries and subordinated institutions have been embezzled, I am interested in checking all the procurement contracts of the last period and in informing me which were the companies subscribed to purchases and which purchases seem dubious to you, either at the stage of the competition or in terms of the price of the products or services paid. The statement was made by Prime Minister Natalia Gavriliţa today at the first meeting of the Cabinet.
According to the official, “we need this effort, firstly, to stop the abuse and waste of public money and to understand how we can remove the parasitic networks behind the budget and, secondly, to pass on information about illegalities, corruption and abuse of power ”.
"At the same time, I want to send a clear message to civil servants - good times are coming for Government employees who are here to work, not steal. Great opportunities for promotion come for honest people, people dedicated to the field in which they work. You will be promoted and appreciated for honest efforts for the benefit of the people. The teams in the ministries are the ones that will ensure your success, as a minister, the success of this Government and will significantly determine the way things are going in this country.
Talk to employees, find the best ways to reorganize ministries, so that, on the one hand, to ensure an efficient and successful teamwork for citizens, and on the other hand to ensure that work in the public service regains its dignity, respect and the prestige needed in any prosperous state ", the official said.
"The message is simple - those who steal - fired, those who work - promoted and appreciated. We are starting this process of cleaning and organizing on the principles of meritocracy today. Ministers must have teams that share the values of this government, so we start with the most urgent resignations and appointments, which will allow you to accelerate the transformation processes that people expect from us ", concluded Natalia Gavriliţa.
At today's meeting, ministers had only one topic on the agenda - staff and a lot of dismissals and appointments.
