Exhibition of Chisinau-based National Literature Museum opened in Romanian capital

Chisinau, 21 August /MOLDPRES/ - An art and book exhibition of the Chisinau-based Mihail Kogalniceanu National Literature Museum was inaugurated at the ARCUM Culture Centre from Bucharest on 20 August.
The event took place within the project titled, The Romanian Nation on the Left bank of Prut, carried out by the Arbor association for culture and arts, led by Victoria Nagy Vajda, in partnership with the aforementioned museum, a project meant to promote the Bessarabian cultural values in Romania.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the director of the Mihail Kogalniceanu National Literature Museum, writer Maria Sleahtitchi said that this was the first exhibition by the institution in Romania.
”The exhibition comprises 12 plastic art works, 20 manuscripts and 50 books of Bessarabian authors, as well as objects of personalities from Moldova,’’ Maria Sleahtitchi noted.
The Mihail Kogalniceanu National Literature Museum was founded in 1965, in order to study, discover and preserve the literary, cultural and artistic heritage from the medieval, modern and contemporary Moldova, through the research of the Romanian literature and culture from the left bank of the Prut river and beyond the borders of the former Moldovan Soviet Socialist Republic.
