Chisinau, 23 August /MOLDPRES/ - Most intensive therapy beds of the COVID-19 Centre from the Chisinau-based Moldexpo International Exhibition Centre are occupied.
At a today’s online meeting of the city hall’s services, the Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, said that the pandemic situation became alarming and the ‘’statistics in this sector is a little happy.’’ ‘’The number of coronavirus infections in serious forms has increased; 21 intensive therapy beds out of these 24 activated at the COVID-19 Centre are occupied. The patients with serious forms of coronavirus are from the countryside and are not vaccinated,’’ Ceban noted.
At the same time, the mayor informed that, given the worsening of the public health state, he had ruled to postpone the holding of the Chisinau Investment Forum, scheduled by the city hall for 14-15 October 2021, for February 2022.
The mayor also dropped hints that, in conditions of pandemic, the Days of the Chisinau Municipality would not be marked at their full extent.
The deputy mayor, Olga Ursu, has earlier said that the 2030 strategy of Chisinau’s development and the city’s investment map would be presented at the Chisinau Investment Forum.
