Chisinau, 26 September /MOLDPRES/ - Over 30 popular artisans have participated in the National Fair of Popular Artisans, held at the National Ethnography and Natural History Museum during two days. The event was organized by the museum, in cooperation with the National Centre for the Preservation and Promotion of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (CNCPPCI).
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the museum’s director, Petru Vicol, said that the event’s goal was to promote works by popular artisans from Moldova, as well as to turn to good account the museum’s heritage. ‘’Artisans from all sectors of the traditional trades practiced in Moldova participated in the Fair: wood processing, pottery, processing leather, manufacturing of pieces of traditional costume, other textiles, as well as of ornaments, etc.’’ Vicol noted.
A folklore festival was held within the event, with the participation of 15 young singers.
The events took place with the observance of the anti-Covid restrictions, established by the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission.
