Moldovan parliamentary delegation attends PACE autumn session

Chisinau, 27 September /MOLDPRES/- Five MPs are attending autumn session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). The event takes place on September 27-30 in Strasbourg, in hybrid format - online and with physical presence.
According to the parliament's press service, the delegation includes Ion Groza, who is also head of the national delegation to PACE, deputy speakers Mihail Popșoi and Vlad Batrîncea, as well as Adela Răileanu, deputy head of the committee on culture, education, research, youth, sports and media and Natalia Davidovici, Secretary of the Commission on Human Rights and Interethnic Relations.
During the session, the Plenum will approve the powers of the National Delegation of Moldova to PACE. Also, the parliamentarians will participate in the presentation of the Activity Report of the PACE Bureau and Standing Committee, which includes the topic on snap legislative elections in the Republic of Moldova.
The PACE agenda also includes the election of judges to the ECHR, including a representative from our country.
At the same time, the officials from Chisinau are going to participate in meetings with President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Rik Daems and PACE co-rapporteurs for the Republic of Moldova.
