Mobile teams of public health specialists to promote COVID vaccination in localities

Chisinau, 20 October /MOLDPRES/- This week, mobile teams of public health and communication specialists will go to Hancesti, Causeni, Ungheni, Criuleni, Telenesti and Rascani districts to inform people about the vaccination process and to dispel myths about vaccines.

The information actions take place within the information campaign for the rural population on the importance and benefits of vaccination, launched on August 4 and carried out within the World Bank project Emergency Response to COVID-19 in the Republic of Moldova.

In recent days, specialists have informed residents of the districts with the lowest vaccination rate (Leova, Sangerei, Glodeni, Drochia, Gagauzia, Taraclia, Ialoveni). They conducted training with employees in health, social work, education, local public authorities, representatives of religious denominations on the benefits of vaccination and how to communicate effectively with the population about vaccines, counseling and vaccination promotion techniques.

Since the launch of the vaccination campaign in the Republic of Moldova, 836,013 people have got vaccinated with full scheme.
