About 80 children participate in Robo Libraries' League 2021 in Moldova

Chisinau, 6 December /MOLDPRES/ - About 80 children, librarians, coaches who represent robotics clubs from nine public libraries showed their abilities of programming, creativeness, imagination and innovative spirit at the fifth issue of the Robo Libraries’ League competition, organized online by the Ion Creanga National Library for Children on 5 December.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the director of the aforementioned library, Eugenia Bejan, said the teams had competed for the Big Cup and the cups for the best teams at the contest’s events: Robot – tale personage, Robot which represents a profession, Artistic presentation of the team. Also, special prizes were awarded and all members of the participating teams received medals and certificates.
To meet the increased education demand in the science and engineering sectors, starting from 2016, with the Novateca programme’s support, 19 robotics clubs from the Ion Creanga National Library for Children, the libraries from Ialoveni, Falesti, Telenești, Rezina, Causeni, Ungheni, Cahul, Drochia, Chisinau, Orhei, Glodeni, Voinova, Galesti, Drujba, Rascova, Izbiste, Cricova and Molovata Noua have been endowed with sets of robotics and provide public access to young people fond of programming.
