Over 14,000 patients call ambulance in Moldova in last week

Chisinau, 6 December /MOLDPRES/ - Emergency medical assistance teams provided first medical aid to 14,185 people in the last week of November.
According to data by the National Pre-hospital Emergency Medical Assistance Centre (CNAMUP), citizens with cardiovascular emergencies most often called the ambulance – 3,115 calls, of whom 43 patients with acute coronary syndrome; they are followed by respiratory emergencies – 3,041 calls and neurological emergencies - 1,862 calls, of which 193 cerebral vascular accidents.
On the same period, 1,006 citizens with various injuries called CNAMUP. Ambulance was called for 70 people who had injuries of various degrees in case of 51 accidents.
Also, ambulance physicians consulted 104 people with infectious diseases, 52 ones with toxic emergencies and 18 people with combustions. At the same time, teams of physicians intervened in the case of 19 intoxications with medicines, 8 – with carbon dioxide and monoxide and seven – with alcohol.
