Meteorologists forecast Yellow Code of strong wind in Moldova for next week-end

Chisinau, 28 January /MOLDPRES/ - The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has forecast a Yellow Code of strong wind for 28 and 29 January.

According to meteorologists, the north-western wind will have gustings up to 15-17 metres/second.

In these conditions, rescuers recommend avoiding places where there are dry trees or objects posing risk of collapsing or high-tension wires.

Meteorologists said that the weather would slightly warm on the days to come; the air temperature will increase, during the day, to +5 Celsius degrees in the south and +3 degrees in the north. At night, the air temperature will drop to -7 degrees. Snowfall is expected on 29 and 30 January.

In case of Yellow Code, the weather conditions are potentially dangerous; the meteorological phenomena forecast are usual for Moldova’s territory; yet, they may temporarily become dangerous for certain social and economic activities.
