Over 10,000 citizens crossed border into Moldova in recent hours

Chisinau, March 18 / MOLDPRES /- In the last 12 hours, border police have registered 10,494 people crossing, of which a larger number - 6,426 on their way out of the country.

According to the Border Police, the most crossings were of foreign citizens - 6,415, and the crossings of Moldovan citizens were 4,079.

The most requested border was with Romania - 8,894 crossings, and 1,455 crossings were signaled at the crossing points located at the Moldovan-Ukrainian border and 145 crossings at the air border.

With regard to the crossing of the border by the citizens of Ukraine, a total number of 2,765 crossings were recorded, of which 981 on the way into the Republic of Moldova and another 1,784 crossings on leaving the country. At the same time, a number of 802 were the transfers of Ukrainian minors up to and including 17 years of age.
