Over 100 pupils in Moldova infected with COVID-19

Chisinau, March 21 / MOLDPRES /- Over 100 primary, secondary and high school pupils became infected with COVID-19 last week. The data were announced today by the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC).
According to the epidemiological situation on March 21, in the educational institutions of the Republic of Moldova the number of students tested positive with COVID-19 was 125 people. The new coronavirus also infected 32 teachers and five auxiliary staff.
During the same period, 12 cases of infection among the little ones were registered in the kindergartens in the country, and five educators and three auxiliary employees presented positive tests to COVID-19.
There are currently 53 quarantine classes and seven kindergarten groups.
According to the quoted source, until now, the vaccination rate of primary, secondary and high school teachers is 84.51%. The highest immunization rate is in technical vocational education (86.82%), and the lowest - in preschool education (76.46%).
