Customs service revenues amounted to over 547.9 million lei last week

Chisinau, May 10 / MOLDPRES /- Customs Service revenues to the state budget amounted to more than 547.9 million lei on May 3-9, up by 20.2% than the budget burden set for this period.
According to the institution, private people introduced goods whose customs value exceeds the non-taxable limit, being collected payments amounting to over 15.9 million lei, which represents 2.9% of the total amount collected for that period.
Last week, 10,209 customs declarations were made, and the flow of means of transport was 79,014 crossings, according to the quoted source.
“As regards the fight against fraud, 38 violations of the customs legislation were found and fines of over 155 thousand lei were applied. The most frequent violations refer to the exceeding of the term of being on the territory of the Republic of Moldova of the means of transport with foreign numbers, declared by action”, the Customs Service said.
Since the beginning of this year, the Customs Service has collected 10.4 billion lei from the state budget, up by 25% compared to the revenues from the corresponding interval of 2021.
