Chisinau, 14 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu on 13 July met a young accordionist, Radu Ratoi, and handed him the honorific title, Master in Art. The head of state awarded this title to Ratoi on the occasion of the National Culture Day, the presidential press service has reported.
„I was happy to know Radu Ratoi, a persevering and gifted young man, who studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Music from Copenhagen and who, at the age of only 23 years, is one of the most promising accordionists in the world. I awarded him the title Master in Art and thanked him for representing Moldova with dignity and much virtuosity on great stages of the world,’’ President Maia Sandu said.
In a discussion with the young accordionist, the head of state said she wanted to see him as often as possible at concerts in Moldova, bringing joy to the audience and inspiring those who are fond of accordion. For this reason, the president urged the Moldovan concert institutions to turn to good account his talent. ‘’I encouraged, at the same time, Radu Ratoi to remain a faithful ambassador of our culture,’’ Maia Sandu noted.
