Regional treatment plant to be built in Florești

Chisinau, August 10 /MOLDPRES/- The Regional Development Agency (ADR) North, Florești city hall and the executing company signed a joint venture contract under a project for the construction of the regional treatment plant and the expansion of the sewage networks in the locality, financed from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development ( FNDRL).
Under the contract, within nine months, starting this August, the contractor undertook to carry out construction and installation works in the city of Florești for a new wastewater treatment plant, with a flow rate of 1,500 m3/day, in addition to the treatment plant existence. "Also, the sewage networks in the city of Florești will be extended by 6,750 m, and the public sewage service will be provided in 71 localities close to the city. Thus, about 4,300 households and 118 economic agents will have access to the sewage and treatment services provided", indicates ADR Nord.
The value of the joint venture contract is 32.4 million lei (about 1.65 million euros), from the sources of the FNDRL. The contribution of the Florești City Hall and the project partners is 10% of the allocated amount.
This year, from the sources of the FNDRL, ADR Nord is implementing six new water supply and sanitation projects in the north of the country, one of which involves the development of a pre-feasibility study targeting 33 localities in the districts of Dondușeni, Soroca and Ocnița. One of the six investment measures in the field of AAS refers to the project Construction of the regional treatment plant and the expansion of the sewerage networks in the city of Florești, submitted by Florești city hall within the Call for the selection of regional development projects for 2021-2023.
