Over 7,800 cases of infection with COVID-19 registered last week

Chisinau, August 23 /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Health announced that, between August 15-21, 7,892 cases of infection with the new coronavirus were registered in the country, with 1,442 cases less than in the previous week.

During the same period, 35,694 tests were performed and 32 deaths were recorded.

Also in the last week, 559 people received their first dose of the COVID vaccine, and 2,041 received their third dose. In total, so far 1,069,296 people have been vaccinated with the full schedule.

Starting in July, citizens can administer their Booster 2 dose of the vaccine against COVID-19.
