World Bank representatives assessed works on road sectors in Telenești, Rezina

Chisinau, 29 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- State Road Administration (ASD) management jointly with World Bank representatives visited yesterday the rehabilitation site of some road sectors in Telenești and Rezina districts to monitor the progress of the works.

According to ASD, the works are carried out on three road sectors and cross the localities of Chiștelnița, Scorțeni from Telenești district and Meșeni, Ignăței, Peciște, Pripiceni-Răzeși, Pripiceni-Curchi, Trifești from Rezina district.

The bank representatives appreciated the road rehabilitation progress, which is about 79% on sector I, over 59% - on sector II and 43% - on sector III.

The road's repair aims to develop the region's infrastructure, create favorable conditions for drawing new economic agents, ensure citizens' access to schools, kindergartens, hospitals, shopping centers and other social institutions.

The contract on the works' execution has a value of over 364 million lei (about 18.2 million euros), money earmarked from the loan offered to the Moldovan government by the World Bank under the Local Roads Improvement Program.
