Moldovan head of state, European Parliament President speak by phone

Chisinau, 3 October /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had a phone conversation with European Parliament President Roberta Metsola.

According to the presidential press service, the head of state informed about the difficult energy situation and the economic implications of the war, which significantly hit the population. The officials also discussed the actions undertaken by the Moldovan authorities, in order to fulfill the country’s commitments in the process of accession to the European Union.

President Maia Sandu thanked for the support provided by the European partners in the last months and voiced confidence that Moldova would be further backed to cope with the unprecedented energy crisis.
