Three medical institutions in Chisinau to be equipped with power generators

Chisinau, 12 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- Three power generators were donated to medical institutions by the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).

According to the Ministry of Health, the Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Health, the Municipal Clinical Hospital for Children No1 and the Republican Center for Medical Diagnostics benefitted from a power generator.

Previously, Minister of Health Ala Nemerenco said that 59 republican, muncipal, district hospitals do not have any electric generator and only 15 hospitals are provided with generators that cover the entire capacity of the institution.

"The others have generators that cover with electricity the intensive care units, operating rooms, perinatal centers, some laboratory and diagnostic equipment, which ensures the avoidance of major risks in unusual cases. In total, hospitals have 77 generators of different capacities across the country. We still need at least 55", said Nemerenco.
