Government of Germany donates consignment of Piranha transporters to Moldova's National Army

Chisinau, 12 January /MOLDPRES/ - A consignment of Piranha transporters has been donated to the National Army by the government of Germany. The first three transporters were brought to Chisinau and distributed to the Peacekeeping Battalion 22.

Attending the ceremony of the armoured vehicles’ delivery was Defence Minister Anatolie Nosatii. He thanked the partners for the support provided to the Moldovan authorities in the process of modernizing the National Army. The minister noted that the vehicles would be used for training servicemen who participate in international peacekeeping operations.

According to the quoted source, the consignment of military hardware will be received in the context of achieving the goal of modernization of the National Army’s capabilities and based on an arrangement signed between the Defence Ministry and the German side in October 2021.
