Parliamentary committees convened in over 500 meetings last year

Chisinau, 20 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- In 2022, the parliament standing committees convened in 536 meetings. 804 reports were approved and 1892 notes were considered.
According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, the committees that convened in the most meetings are: the economy, budget and finance committee - 62 meetings, the legal committee on rules and immunities - 58 meetings and the national security, defense and public order – 57 meetings.
Most reports- 254 were approved at the meetings of the economy, budget and finance committee. At the meetings of the same committee, 105 other notes were examined. Also, the members of the legal committee on rules and immunities approved 136 reports and examined 82 notes last year. 114 reports and 243 notes were approved at the meetings of the Social Protection, Health and Family Commission.
Standing committees are working bodies of the Parliament that examine draft laws and legislative proposals to work out reports or notes, carry out parliamentary inquiries.
