Policemen urge drivers to avoid centre of Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 28 February /MOLDPRES/ - Law-enforcers have urged drivers to avoid the centre of the Moldovan capital.

According to the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), the request is made, given that the Stefan cel Mare boulevard, in the segment between the Vasile Alecsandri and A. Pushkin streets, is blocked by supporters of an opposition political formation, who organized a protest in the centre of Chisinau today.

IGP specified that, at present, people tried to force the cordon of policemen, in order to go to the Great National Assembly Square.

At the same time, the public transport was redirected to the adjacent streets.

Also, law-enforcers said the Stauceni-Chisinau highway had been de-blocked in the direction to the Moldovan capital. Presently, policemen guide the road traffic.
