Moldovan PM has meeting with heads of United Nations agencies in Moldova

Chisinau, 28 February /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean and representatives of the United Nations (UN) agencies and entities in Moldova have discussed the principal directions of Moldova’s development, provided for in the Moldova - United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework 2023-2027 (UNSDCF), the government’s communication and protocol department reported.
The PM appreciated the support of the UN agencies in the management of the Ukrainian refugees’ crisis, as well as contribution provided for the promotion of Moldova’s image internationally.
‘’A small country with a great heart has become an international brand, boosted the process of Moldova’s integration into the European Union, which stays one of our priorities,’’ PM Dorin Recean stressed.
The sides reiterated the most important directions of Moldova’s sustainable development, envisaged in the joint framework, with four priorities defined:
Robust institutions and equal opportunities for the human development;
Governance oriented to social cohesion;
Enhancement of the residents’ well-being;
Ecological development, sustainable communities and resilience to disasters and climate changes.
„The policies which we will develop together will have a direct impact on the citizens’ well-being. We want to help Moldova’s government carry out its action programme, give equal chances to everybody, in accordance with our general goal: Not to leave anybody behind,’’ United Nations Resident Coordinator in Chisinau Simon Springett said.
