Moldovan deputy premier meets Council of Europe official

Chisinau, April 21 /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian had a meeting with Anna Capello, Head of Cooperation Division of the Council of Europe, the Reintegration Policy Office has reported.
The officials addressed the perspectives of promoting new projects regarding the strengthening of trust measures between both banks of the Dniester in the context of implementing the provisions of the Council of Europe Action Plan for the Republic of Moldova 2021-2024. Among the targeted areas were mentioned: the protection of human rights in the Transnistrian region, health protection, education, supporting young people, assistance measures for refugees and people in difficulty, journalistic investigations etc.
They approached the interest to train children, young people and teachers from both sides of the Dniester in various international events and activities on the promotion of dialogue, reconciliation, peace, human rights, with the involvement of representatives from states/regions with unregulated territorial conflicts (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Balkan Peninsula), after carrying out the necessary preventive coordination.
Oleg Serebrian highlighted the importance of developing cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the Council of Europe in various areas of common interest, with the fruition of positive experiences and technical expertise useful for the country's reintegration policies.
