Romanian, Moldovan carriers in USA created association

Chisinau, April 24 /MOLDPRES/- Over 2,000 transport companies and carriers with Romanian and Moldovan origins, who own over 45 thousand trucks, have established the first profile association in North America, according to DIGI 24.
According to Romania's Ambassador to Washington Andrei Muraru, "Romanian Moldovan Trucking Association of North America", or "ROMOTANA", brings together private people and enterprises in the transport and logistics with Romanian and Moldovan origins.
The official was impressed by "the large number of transport businesses owned by Romanians and Moldovans in the US, dedicated to their profession and appreciated for the work they do". "They represent Romania and the Republic of Moldova on American soil, having a crucial role in the American logistics and transportation industry," said Andrei Muraru.
The launch gala of the association was held in Washington, an event supported by the Embassies of Romania and the Republic of Moldova in the USA.
"ROMOTANA" is the first trade association dedicated to the community of carriers with Romanian and Moldovan origins in North America.
