European City 2023 opened in Leova

Chisinau, May 20. /MOLDPRES/- After the capital, the European City 2023 was also inaugurated today in Leova. This is part of the agenda of the EU Delegation to Moldova, which, together with the Embassies of the EU member states, marks this year's Europe Day through a series of cultural and educational events in several regions of the country.
Until the inauguration of the European City, several events took place in Leova, including the launch of a project to improve energy efficiency at Constantin Spătaru Theoretical High School, discussions of the young people of Leova with the EU ambassadors about the diplomatic career, as well as the ceremony of transfer of equipment for the primary medical institutions in the region.
This year, the traditional European City open to the public in Leova will include several information actions and presentation of European projects carried out or planned in Moldova with the help of European partners. The program includes interactive activities, both for children and young people, as well as for adults of all ages. European cuisine will also be present in the European City.
Events to mark Europe Day-2023 are organized in all regions of the country, in cooperation with EU-funded projects, with local public authorities, with the network of Euroclubs and European Information Centers throughout the country.
