Chisinau, 19 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Shor Political Party has been declared unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court (CCM) – an important victory for the democracy of Moldova, which has been for years harmed by this crime ring, in the service of the Kremlin. Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu made statements to this effect, after CCM had declared the Shor Political Party unconstitutional today.
According to the speaker, the state’s institutions are to analyze which are the next steps, in order to enforce the Court’s ruling. ‘’The fight against the corrupt politicians, with the parties’ illegal financing was one of our commitments in the campaign and stays a priority on the agenda of the governance. The bandits use the political factor, in order to clean their image an escape the justice. But no matter how many parties cleaning their image they set up, they will remain also bandits and crime rings,’’ Igor Grosu said.
„A weakened and impoverished state begins with the corruption in parties. A rule of law state is the one where the corrupt people stay in jail, do not do politics. The financing of parties with money stolen from citizens will be toughly sanctioned, as only in this way we can clean the politics and can make sure that integral people get at the state’s institutions, who work only for the citizens,’’ the parliament speaker said.
The Constitutional Court declared the Shor Political Party unconstitutional today. The process of consideration was initiated based on a notification submitted by the government to CCM. The Court’s ruling enters into force at the moment of its adoption, cannot be subjected to any way of appeal and is published in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).
