Chisinau, June 20. /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu promulgated today the Law on paid internships in the public service. Thus, young people aged of 18 and 29 will benefit from paid internship programs in the public service.

The official said that young people who want to work side by side with civil servants and learn from their experience will now be even more motivated to do so. "We have the chance to benefit from the enthusiasm and energy of the interns. Dear young women and men, we invite you to participate in the competition to work in our teams from the Presidency, Parliament, Government, State Chancellery, other public authorities", Maia Sandu said.

"Many interesting things happen in state institutions that you can learn from. Now that the EU accession process has become a real one, we need, more than ever, the energy and involvement of young people. Whichever institution you choose, I hope you will have a useful experience for your professional development. For our part, we hope to convince as many young people as possible to stay at home, to come and work in state institutions, to build European Moldova together", said Maia Sandu.

According to the document, the selection of interns will be based on a competition. During this period, young people will have a monthly, non-taxable scholarship, the value of which will be approved annually by the state budget law. Trainees who have completed a full program of 720 hours and have been evaluated with the qualification very good will be able to be proposed by the host authority for appointment to a public position, for which no professional experience is required, without the organization of a competition.

The document will enter into force on 1 July.
