Moldovan president on visit to Edinet district

Chisinau, June 22. /MOLDPRES/- Visiting Edineț district, President Maia Sandu met with people of Viișoara and Zabriceni villages, the presidential press service has reported.

"Both communities have carried out several projects to develop the locality and improve living standards," said the president. In recent months, they have benefited from projects under European Village programme. In Zabriceni, a water supply and sewage network was built, and in Viișoara - a sports center was opened for the residents. Such projects are carried out in 496 localities in the country and all aim to make people's lives better.

"We will further make investments in quality roads, water and sewage systems, to modernize schools, kindergartens, as the people are waiting for these changes and this means European Moldova", said Maia Sandu.
