Moldovan government approves decision on restoration of five education institutions

Chisinau, 17 June /MOLDPRES/- The Finance Ministry will earmark over 37 million lei for restoration of five education institutions from Moldova. A decision in this respect was approved at a cabinet meeting on 16 June.
Under the decision, the Mesterul Manole lyceum from Causeni, Alexandru cel Bun gymnasium from Varzaresti village, Nisporeni district, V. Pirvan lyceum from Gotesti village, Cantemir, Vasile Anestiade lyceum from Saratenii Vechi, Telenesti district, and theoretical lyceum from Tibirica village, Calarasi district, will be repaired.
The institutions will benefit from repair and thermal insulation of the roof and walls, ventilation system, construction of an autonomous gas boiler, restoration of interior sewage system etc.
Among criteria for selection of schools are perspective of school and settlement, educational process management, school success and involvement of school administration and parents.
The restoration of schools fits into a project on education reform in Moldova, implemented by the Education Ministry with the support of the World Bank. In all, 20 education institutions will benefit from financing. The project's budget is estimated at 40 million dollars.
