Moldova, Indonesia sign memorandum of understanding on bilateral political consultations

Chisinau, 19 June /MOLDPRES/ - The second round of inter-ministerial political consultations between Moldova and Indonesia took place in Chisinau today. The Moldovan delegation was led by Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi and the Indonesian one - by Director General of America and Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dian Triansyah Djani, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's (MAEIE) information and media communication service has reported.
The officials signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Moldovan MAEIE and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia on bilateral political consultations, aimed at boosting official contacts between the two states.
The sides also tackled prospects for developing the bilateral ties, especially fostering the trade and economic exchanges, attracting Indonesian investments in Moldova's economy, cooperation in the economic diplomacy sector, as well as strengthening the bilateral legal framework. At the same time, the officials positively appreciated the collaboration between the two countries within international organisations.
