Chisinau, 20 June /MOLDPRES/- The renewable energy and energy efficiency market just develops in Moldova's energy system. The first results already can be visible, and potential is significant, Economics Deputy Minister Tudor Copaci said at a workshop on energy efficiency.
The event was organised by the Agency for Energy Efficiency (AEE) and Energy Efficiency Fund (FEE). "A number of 169 projects on energy efficiency and renewable resources, amounting to about 400 million lei, have been implemented after setting up AEE", he added.
AEE director Mihail Stratan said that during four years of activity, a transparent and efficient institution had been created. "Some results are better, others more modest, however, upward trend and potential are major. We have confidence that more results could be seen very soon and we will be proud of", Stratan said.
The development prospects of FEE are multiple, but the priority ones are consolidation of institutional capacity by continuous training of specialists in the field, as well as using different financing instruments, FEE executive manager Calin Negura said.
The workshop was organised within the second issue of the European Sustainable Energy Week in Moldova, held in Chisinau at an initiative of the EU Delegation to Moldova.
