High EU official says Moldova needs stable government to continue European integration

Chisinau, 25 June /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Prime Minister Natalia Gherman had a meeting with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini in Brussels today, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.
The sides assessed Moldova's progress in implementing the European integration agenda and results of the reforms carried out while enforcing the provisions of the Moldova-EU Association Agreement.
The officials also referred to the domestic political situation in Moldova, as well as the regional one. In particular, the officials tackled the Moldova-EU cooperation in the sector of common security and defence policies, as well as Moldova's participation in the missions under aegis of the European Union.
Acting Prime Minister Natalia Gherman informed the European partners on the latest developments in the Transnistrian conflict settlement process.
For her part, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini reiterated the support for Moldova's European integration. The official stressed the need to form a stable government in Moldova, in order to press ahead with the European integration way.
