Moldovan acting premier, European commissioner broach support, reforms, cooperation

Chisinau, 26 June /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Prime Minister Natalia Gherman met European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn in Brussels on 25 June, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The officials exchanged views about the evolutions on Moldova-European Union agenda. The sides underlined the need to continue reforms in the key areas for the Moldovan society.
The two officials also tackle the prospect of technical assistance provided to Moldova by the European Union. In this respect, Johannes Hahn voiced willingness to further help Moldova in order to implement the Moldova-EU Association Agreement, by inclusively using programmes and agencies of the European Union.
The sides also agreed on the activity of EU high-ranking advisors in Moldova. In this respect, the officials identified the sectors in which the European Union would support Moldova.
The sides addressed the situation in Moldova, as well as the regional developments.
