Chisinau hosts meeting of Moldovan-Czech intergovernmental economic cooperation commission

Chisinau, 30 June /MOLDPRES/ - The first meeting of the Moldovan-Czech intergovernmental economic cooperation commission is held in Chisinau on 30 June - 1 July. The Czech delegation is led by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Eduard Muricky and the Moldovan one is represented by Acting Economics Minister Octavian Calmic, the Economics Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The commission’s goal is to boost economic cooperation between Moldova and the Czech Republic, to promote investments and trade, keep an efficient dialogue as to economic problems at of regional importance, especially in the context of the implementation of the Moldova-EU Free Trade Agreement.
The officials will address aspects of collaboration in sector of energy, constructions and restoration of transport infrastructure, production of machines, food industry and post-harvesting infrastructure, waste management, etc.
The sides will also refer to continuing cooperation at the level of Moldovan and Czech institutions in the area of e-governing, standardisation, metrology and conformity evaluation, exchange of good practices and production technologies in various economic branches.
The Czech side will present collaboration opportunities within development programmes, such as waste-water management, solid waste management, development and implementation of Wine Register, production of fruits and vegetables with value-added tax, etc.
At the end, the delegations’ heads will sign a protocol of the first meeting of the Moldovan-Czech intergovernmental economic cooperation commission on 1 July.
