Romania provides 5,000 education places for Moldovan students

Chisinau, 1 July /MOLDPRES/- The Romanian government has provided 5,000 places, subsidised from the Romanian state budget, for Moldovan students willing to study abroad. Romanian Ambassador to Moldova Marius Lazurca made statements to this effect today.
In 2015, the Romanian government distributed 1,500 places with and without scholarship for pre-university education, 2,800 places for university education, 550 places for master's degree, 25 places with scholarship for future residents and 125 places for programmes on training for doctor's degree.
The subjects to which the Moldovan students may aspire are mathematics and natural sciences, humanities and arts, social sciences, engineering, biological and bio-medical sciences, distributed in 45 Romanian universities.
A commission made up of more representatives of Romanian education institutions will be present in Moldova on 18-31 July to take over the files submitted by Moldovan students.
Lazurca said that the procedure for submitting applications for 2015-2016 had not been changed, compared to 2014.
In the 2013-2014 academic year, about 6,750 students were matriculated in Romanian universities, up by 300 against the previous period.
