Chisinau, 3 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today approved a draft decision on financial summing-up reports of election contenders who participated in the electoral electoral campaign.
CEC said that most parties and electoral competitors had presented reports in the set terms, except for 14 contenders who were given sanctions as warnings for failure to provide reports in due time and in the format established by the Commission.
Also today, CEC ruled on the organisation of the runoff election in the Topala village, southern Cimislia district, on 12 July, given that a candidate needed just one single vote to become mayor. The situation did not change after vote recount.
During the 2015 local elections, the General Police Inspectorate opened eight criminal files, of which 4 for corruption of electors, 1 – for robbery, 2 - for hooliganism and one case for grievous bodily harm.
