Moldovan Army's third contingent deployed to Kosovo

Chisinau, 6 July /MOLDPRES/- Servicemen of the third contingent of the National Army, deployed to the KFOR peacekeeping operation in Kosovo in last June, started fulfilling the specific missions.
The commander of the National Army's contingent in KFOR mission, major Ianac Deli said the Moldovan peace keepers had been trained in terms of "fire phobia" and crowd control. At the same time, officers and non-commissioned officers familiarized with military equipment of the Italian contingent, performed missions of patrolling the area of responsibility, as well as security of the Camp Vilaggio Italia base from Pech settlement, where the contingents from Italy, Slovenia and Austria are deployed.
Deli said that the Moldovan contingent's group of sappers had executed, along with servicemen of other participating countries, research missions at the Kosovo administrative separation line. The KFOR 3 contingent is to perform patrolling and guard missions of some sites in the area.
The National Army's third contingent was deployed to Kosovo on 6 June. KFOR-3 is made up of 33 infantry troops, seven sappers and a staff officer.
