Run-off elections to be held in south Moldovan village on 12 July

Chisinau, 10 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission informs that the run-off local elections to elect the mayor of Topala village, southern Cimislia district, will be held on 12 July.

The first two candidates, who got the biggest number of votes on 28 June elections, are enlisted in the ballot paper. The enlisting of those two candidates in the ballot paper is done in decreasing order of number of votes gained in the first round of elections.

Under the Electoral Code, the candidate, who got most votes, regardless of the number of electors participating in elections, is considered as winner at the run-off elections. In case of parity of votes, the candidate who got most numbers of votes at the first round of local elections is considered elected.

The repeated voting took place in Topala village, Cimislia district, on 28 June.
