Chisinau, 13 July /MOLDPRES/ - The leaders of pro-European parties in the parliament met in a new round of negotiations on the formation of a ruling coalition on 12 July.
The meeting took place at the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) headquarters and lasted several hours. Politicians were laconic in their statements after the meeting. "We are in the process of negotiations on the formation of a ruling coalition and the investment of a new government. It is a constructive process, and we have already established more timeframes," said the leader of the Democratic Party (PD) Marian Lupu.
The leader of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) Vlad Filat said that there was an understanding for negotiations to be completed by late July. "We agreed on having a vested government by the end of July. The negotiations are going well and I am confident that we will have results in the shortest time. We are discussing everything related to the formation of a parliamentary majority and a government, but we have not proposed any names yet. We must first finalise the coalition formation agreement and after that we will get to the rest", said Filat.
The leader of the Liberal Party (PL) Mihai Ghimpu did not provide details.
