Poland to provide scholarships to Moldovan servicemen

Chisinau, 15 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Polish government is willing to annually provide by two scholarships to officers of the Moldovan National Army to the National Defence Academy. In order to train future candidates, the language centre to the Alexandru Cel Bun Military Academy of Armed Forces (AMFA) is organising for the first time ever intensive courses to study the Polish language.
Polish Defence Attaché to Moldova Jan Myszczynski specified that specialties, as well as detached candidates will be selected by the Moldovan military authorities. Myszczynski highlighted that the Polish side was also ready to provide Moldovan officers with the possibility to attend different refresher courses, which are organised by the National Defence Academy.
AMFA press officer Oxana Balan said that 10 officers were enlisted to the mentioned course, due on 15 July – 15 August. The course’s goal is to create and develop linguistic competences of servicemen, who are to be detached to study in the Polish specialised institutions.
The Moldovan-polish military cooperation agreement was signed in Warsaw on 27 October 1998.
