”E-File” information system launched in Moldova

Chisinau, 16 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Prosecutor General's Office and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) presented an automated information system titled ”Criminological Data Register ” (E-Dosar) at a news conference today.
The system will be centralised and will integrate the recording, processing, management and reporting stages, made within the records systems present in the prosecution's bodies, and will allow managing other types of data.
The implementation of such a system will ensure the unified recording and information interaction of criminal investigation bodies, will secure the taking over and keeping of data collected within the criminal investigation and will ensure the improving of possibilities of statistical and criminological analysis.
Prosecutor General Corneliu Gurin said that the system would provide facilities as to report on investigated cases, starting from the notification up to execution of court decision.
„The register will be a centralised one, created based on current information systems present within the prosecution and will be integrated with different modules of information systems of relevant public authorities, such as Interior and Justice Ministries, National Anticorruption Centre, etc.,” Gurin said.
The system's working out and implementation is stipulated by the Strategy on justice reform and the project's budget is of 120,000 dollars.
