Moldovan, American servicemen carry out night shooting drills in northern district

Chisinau, 16 July /MOLDPRES/- About 100 servicemen of the National Army and USA, participants in the Common Effort 2015 multinational exercises, carried out night fight shooting at the Balti-based Moldova motorized infantry brigade.
Commander of the brigade, colonel Veaceslav Rusu said that the soldiers had used bomb throwers, 120 mm caliber, from the National Army's and US Army's endowment.
Attending the event were the Chief of Staff, commander of the National Army, brigadier Igor Gorgan and Commander of the National Guard of the North Carolina, Major General Gregory Lusk. The two officials appreciated the level of preparation of subunits and execution of fight shooting at night, which required intensive training, precision and professionalism. The officials noted that both Moldovan and American servicemen had proved maximum interoperability in performing the missions.
Gorgan and Lusk met the staff and inspected the training places. At the same time, they attended the fight shooting carried out by servicemen of the 22nd Peacekeeping Battalion.
