More Moldovan petroleum companies announce diesel oil price cut

Chisinau, 16 July /MOLDPRES/ - Seven petroleum companies have informed the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) about the cut in price to diesel oil by 0.30 lei per litre starting from 15-18 July.
ANRE press service specified that the last price modification was made in past February. The prices to diesel oil decreased from 16.47 lei per litre in past February to 16.2 lei per litre in July.
The reduction of diesel oil retail sale price is caused by the trend in diminution of purchase price, which prefigures starting from past June. If the import price to diesel oil increased in average, in dollars, by 18.3 per cent in January-May 2015 and got to 645 dollars per ton, whereas in Moldovan lei - by 27.4 per cent and decreased by 5.7 per cent to 608 dollars per ton in the first half of July.
ANRE data show that this is the sixth modification of prices for retail sale of diesel oil recorded in 2015. The prices to diesel oil decreased three times in a row, by 4.8 per cent in January against December 2014. In past February, the prices changed twice, the first time the price went up by 4.9 per cent compared to January, and the second time it diminished by 0.6 per cent and was of 16.47 lei per litre.
The diesel oil cheapening comes after five of the biggest petroleum companies put up the price of gasoline by over 0.65 lei per litre early this week, three weeks later after they increased the price by 0.50 lei per litre. The price of Premium A95 got to 18.3 lei/ litre.
Six petroleum companies informed ANRE about the reduction of retail prices to LPG by 0.50-0.55 lei per litre in early July. As a result, the prices diminished from 10 lei to 9.47 lei per litre.
