Moldovan, Japanese officials tackle cooperation, modernisation, assistance

Chisinau, 17 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Foreign and European Integration Andrei Galbur met Japanese Special Advisor to Prime Minister, MP in the House of Representatives Taro Kimura in Tokyo on 16 July, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
Galbur thanked for the assistance provided to Moldova in various areas. Galbur emphasised the remarkable results as to implementation of the Unprivileged Farmers’ Assistance Project 2KR, which is meant to facilitate financially limited Moldovan farmers’ access to up-to-date agricultural equipment. Galbur also highlighted Moldova’s interest in benefiting in the future from the Japanese Official Development Assistance.
Taro Kimura positively appreciated the evolution of the Moldovan-Japanese bilateral ties and specified that Japan would continue to provide assistance as to modernisation of the Moldovan economy.
The sides also underlined that the opening in the near future of embassies in Chisinau and Tokyo would boost the bilateral ties in various sectors of common interest.
