Moldovan acting premier requests responsible institutions to be ready to face hot weather

Chisinau, 22 July /MOLDPRES/ - At the beginning of the today cabinet meeting, Acting Prime MInister Natalia Gherman requested the Interior Ministry, Health Ministry and responsible institutions to mobilise and provide people with necessary aid during the canicular days. Gherman also appealed to mass media to inform citizens about the recommendations of specialists, in order to face high temperatures, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
„In order to prevent and limit effects of announced meteorological phenomena, I would like to address to media representatives, especially to the radio and public television, to periodically inform citizens about the recommendations provided by the Health Ministry as to high temperatures. Especially, to be widely broadcasted recommendations on preventing illnesses among children from kindergartens and summer camps,” Gherman said.
At the same time, Gherman requested representatives of the Civil Protection and Emergency Situations to closely monitor situation during this period.
Interior Minister Oleg Balan said that 16 anti-canicular medical tents had been installed in 9 Moldovan settlements. The rehabilitation points work during the dog days, between 12.00 - 18.00.
Health Deputy Minister Octavian Grama informed that all medical institutions, including infectious diseases departments, were ready to deal with a great number of people who might need emergency aid during the hot weather.
