Moldovan deputy prime minister, MEPs tackle cooperation, Transnistrian conflict, support

Chisinau, 22 July /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Deputy Prime Minister Victor Osipov today met members of the Security and Defence Sub-Committee to the European Parliament, on an official visit to Moldova. The delegation was led by the mentioned committee’s head, Polish MEP Anna Elżbieta Fotyg, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
Anna Fotyga praised the efforts to create a new ruling coalition and was confident that the new government would be set up soon, which was important including for ensuring domestic stability and security of Moldova.
The officials also approached the Transnistrian conflict settlement and emphasised the trends within the Chisinau-Tiraspol dialogue, as well as the constructive potential which the speeding up of the work on concrete directions, as well as the political solving of the conflict, might have.
Victor Osipov highly appreciated the cooperation between Moldova and the European Union and the interest of the European Parliament’s members as to situation and prospect Moldova. Osipov underlined the importance of the support of European politicians, who represent a key element in the Moldova-European Union collaboration.
