Moldova remains priority country for Polish Development Aid Programme

Chisinau, 27 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur today met his Polish counterpart, Undersecretary of State for Development Cooperation, Polish Diaspora and Eastern Policy Konrad Pawlik, who is on a visit to Moldova between 24 and 27 July, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The officials highly praised the dynamics and consistency of the bilateral political dialogue. The Moldovan official thanked for Poland’s constant support for Moldova’s European path, promoting Moldovan products on the EU market and financial assistance in various fields, especially in agriculture and education.
For his part, Undersecretary of State Konrad Pawlik announced that Moldova would remain a priority country within the Polish Development Aid Programme during the next five years.
The official also said that the implementation of the Moldova-EU Association Agreement was a crucial period for the country, ensuring the Polish authorities’ firm support to continue reforms in the future.
Furthermore, the sides exchanged views on organising a Moldovan-Polish Joint commission for European integration, as well as an intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation by the end of the year.
