After President Nicolae Timofti signed the decree, the candidate for the post of premier Valeriu Strelet announced his objectives and priorities for the coming term to journalists.
"The main priorities are related to the restoration of relations with development partners, and one of the first actions will be asking the International Monetary Fund to delegate a mission to Moldova to reach an agreement with this institution as soon as possible. This will also represent a signal to other donors. Another aspect will concern cooperation with European partners in the field of justice. The fraud in the banking system will also be investigated and we will work to recover the money. Another chapter will focus on increasing tariffs. The government must draw up a system of nominal compensations. The tasks ahead are challenging, but I hope that we will succeed, "said Strelet.
He added that he would be guided in his activity exclusively by the Constitution and in forming the Cabinet of Ministers he would respect the partners’ choice.
