Chisinau, 30 July /MOLDPRES/ - The fight against corruption is among the main goals of the future government, under the new government's action programme unveiled in the parliament's plenum today.

The future cabinet is set to strengthen the anti-corruption institutional system, by excluding conflicts of competences, improving cooperation and efficient synchronization of reforms within the National Anticorruption Centre, Anticorruption Prosecution and National Integrity Commission, as well as via creating a specialised court of judges, who will consider exclusively corruption cases.

The candidate for the office of prime minister, Valeriu Strelet, also specified that he would soon address a letter to foreign partners ,seeking the sending of an experts' mission due to provide support to the activity of law-enforcement bodies and judges specialised in considering corruption cases.

Another priority of the government is to re-examine the legal framework as regards the financing of political parties and electoral campaigns. At the same time, the new government is set to ensure the enforcement of the law on fighting illegal enrichment, special confiscation and expanded confiscation of goods resulting from corruption and related offences, as well as to create a mechanism of civil confiscation.

Among the priorities contained in the action programme, there are also the investigation and prosecution of people guilty for inappropriate use of funds provided to Moldova from the foreign assistance.
